Our Mission
ReportCar empowers everyday drivers to report dangerous driving behavior, creating a community-driven database that helps keep our roads safer.
Every day, millions of people witness dangerous drivingβspeeding, tailgating, reckless lane changes, road rage. These behaviors put everyone at risk, but there's often no way to report them or warn others. ReportCar changes that.
The Problem
Dangerous drivers often go unreported. Unless an accident occurs or police witness the behavior, there's no record of repeated dangerous driving.
Patterns go unnoticed. A driver might tailgate someone today, cut off another driver tomorrow, and speed through a school zone the next dayβbut no one sees the full pattern.
Limited accountability. Without a way to track behavior, dangerous drivers face little consequence until something serious happens.
Our Solution
ReportCar provides a simple, fast way for anyone to report dangerous driving:
1. Capture
Take a photo of the vehicle (license plate visible)
2. AI Assists
Our AI auto-fills vehicle details in seconds
3. Submit
Report is added to our database instantly
How It Works
π Submit Reports
When you witness dangerous driving, open the ReportCar mobile app, take a photo, and submit a report. Our AI automatically extracts the license plate, identifies the vehicle make/model, and detects the color. You just need to select the behavior type (speeding, tailgating, etc.) and submit.
π Check Plates
Anyone can look up a license plate to see if there are reports associated with it. You get 1 free check per month, or you can subscribe for unlimited checks.
π Risk Scoring
Our algorithm calculates a risk score based on the number and severity of reports, with recent incidents weighted more heavily. This helps identify patterns of dangerous behavior.
π‘οΈ Spam Protection
We use advanced spam detection to prevent abuse. Reports from suspicious devices are automatically flagged, and our admin team reviews potential spam.
π Privacy First
All uploaded images are automatically blurred to protect privacy. We blur the top third of every image where faces typically appear. Only the license plate and vehicle remain visible.
